Below are some of the items you may need for a feis. See the More Information section at the bottom for a link to a list you can print out and use.

                                      
For Your Feet
  Light Shoes - check they are clean, especially the soles so they don't slip
  Heavy Shoes - if you have heavy dances. Polish and apply new tape or rosin
  Elastics - you can have shiny buckles on these if you wish
  Spare laces - just in case, for both pairs of shoes
  Rosin or duct tape - in case you need to use more at the feis
  Socks x 2 - have a spare pair, make sure they are white!
  Sock Glue - to stop your socks falling down. You can buy it at the feis or borrow some
FYour Costume
  Dress - or skirt and blouse. For boys, trousers, shirt & tie
  Cape - if you have one for your costume
  Headress - a fabric 'crown' to mach your dress, tiara or pretty headband
  Kick Pants - big knickers to wear over your own underwear under your costume
FFor Your Hair
  Wig - if you are wearing one, or curlers if you are curling your hair
  Hair bands - to put your hair up under you wig
  Hair Pins - for putting your hair up and keeping your headress in place
  Hair/Wig spray - don't spray in the main competition area
  Hairnet - can help to keep curls in place before dancing
  Hair brush - especially for after you finish!
FFor Your Face - dancers under 12 in Beginners and Primary cannot wear makeup
  Eyeshadow  

- pick colours to suit you and your costume and make sure the 

   amount is appropriate for your age and level

  Lipstick/Lipgloss
  Blusher
  Mascara
  Sparkle
FFor Getting there (and being able to dance!)
  Competition Number - if you have already been given this - don't forget it!
  Feis Information - take a copy of the timetable if you can
  Directions - make sure you know how to get there, take a map too in case
FFor You
  Water - clear drinks are best in case of spills on your costume
  Snacks - high energy and low mess
  Packed Lunch - there may be a canteen or take lunch with you
FFor Being Prepared
  Number Holder - a plastic wallet to protect your number, not essential
  Safety Pins - to pin on your number and just in case
  Ribbon - you can use ribbon to tie your number around your waist
  Deoderant - dancing is hot work
  Freshening Wipes - see above
  Tissues - for all cleanups
  Rubbish Bag - useful to have if there are not many bins around
  Pen - to note down information and results
  Scissors - for cutting ribbons, duct tape etc.
  Sellotape - generally useful
  First Aid Kit - include aspirin for parents!
  Needle & thread - in case of repairs
For Bad Weather
  Umberella - you may need to walk outside between venues/stages
  Coat / Fleece - see above
FFor Fun
  Camera - to take photos, but not while dancers are competing
  iPOD / MP3 - to practice to and to relax
  Games/Books - can be useful if there are long delays
  Mascot ! - for luck!
  Mobile Phone - to tell everyone your news. Have a number of your teacher or an experienced parent too
